We are proud to offer superior canoes from the Vermont Canoe Company. These canoes are built in Waitsfield, Vermont by Rob and Amy Scharges. In 2003, Rob and Amy revived the art of canoe building in Vermont's Mad River Valley, former home of Mad River Canoe.

You will find just the right canoe for your needs among their versatile and well-crafted boats. All models from the Tupper, an Adirondack-style pack boat, to the Sokoki, a sport canoe, to the tandem Encore, feature gunwales of native Vermont ash, contoured ash and cane seats, and ash thwarts, yokes, and carry handles.

Ranger Canoe production is limited to150 canoes per year and each boat is individually custom built one at a time, totally by hand. The company is 35 years old with the same builder for the last 25 years.

Our craftsmanship is impeccable. We invite you to ask any of our specialty retailers who sell Ranger Canoes in New England and New York. Ranger Canoes are built in a small workshop on Squam River in Ashland, New Hampshire.
